A large selection of preserves, strawberry, blackcurrant, raspberry,  orange cut marmalade, and honey;

Toast ( brown or white) with fresh butter or low fat spread.

Tea & coffee refills available if required.

Alternative breakfast choices of :
Fresh Manx Kipper;  smoked haddock & poached egg; or omelettes.

Vegetarian or continental breakfast can be ordered as an alternative. If you have any special dietary needs please contact in advance and we will seek to meet your requirements.
Dining Room
Only the finest quality items and produce are used in all our home cooked food. Guests to the hotel inform us they will  miss our breakfasts when returning home. But that just gives more reason to return! Good food is always remembered so you can ensure the day is started right.

Bar food is available nightly from 6.30pm till 9pm for hot meals or hot & cold snacks.

The large number of food outlets we have in the area often surprises first time visitors who may think eating out expensive.

For visitors not familiar with Paignton, and who prefer the flexibility of economical eating at times of choice rather than set menus and meal times, the Cherwood Hotel is surrounded by numerous recommended eating establishments, all within a couple of minutes' walk, and most just a few yards...

Approximately 100 yards away, on the central seafront, we have The Inn on the Green. Meals till 12.30am, local entertainment venue, lunch & evening meals, evenings offering cabaret while you dine, and Two for the Price of One meals - buy one get one free. Main meals from £8.

The Lighthouse, 50 yards from the hotel, currently offering 2 steak meals for £5. Carveries.

Talk of the Town ,Torbay Road, à la carte or eat as much as you want, 2 for £7.99 to £9.99, seasonal variations. Adjacent to the hotel.

The Mermaid pub and the Spinning Wheel pub, central seafront, are all within 150 to 200yds. All offer good food and excellent pricing.

Others close by in the town centre, two minutes walk, include Roasties, Torbay Road, roast dinner specialists.

The Regency, by the railway level crossing, Torbay Road main high street, à-la-carte or special three course meals, approx £7 plus a host of other Pubs, Cafes, Restaurants, Sandwich Bars, Tea Rooms, Fish Restaurants, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza parlours etc. within a short stroll from the hotel.

International cuisine specialists in Paignton include Thai, Chinese, Indian, Mexican and Italian restaurants.

Whatever your choice, a wide selection of food is available both day and night to suite both pocket and preferences.
